It’s been a while

Well it’s been quite a while really since I wrote in here… so what’s been happening? Well I’m afraid that now I have a girlfriend, both my computers and my blog are being somewhat neglected. I am afraid that it’s unlikely that Lizzy is going to go away any time soon, so my blog will no doubt, be sporadic for some time yet. As for my computers, I will have to explain the situation to them and let them know I do love them still, just not as much as before.

Anyway… erm… life… yeah.

Been back to school this past week, has been OK, but a bit silly since I was only teaching 3 lessons! Next week it looks like I’ll be doing 4 (WOW!). This is the best time of year to be a teacher, although there’s a lot of reports to write for real teachers and loads of paperwork for me as a student teacher.

Seen Lizzy quite a bit this week, which has been nice.
Rob went home this week, just for a couple of weeks, he’ll be back at the end of the month, just before I go on holiday.
Steve is moving out on Tuesday… forever *sob* *sob* Will miss him, especially his laugh 😀 (Private joke, sorry)

Got all but one of my assignments in now, so that’s good.
Finish the course a week tomorrow, which is great.
Cooking a roast lamb Sunday lunch, which will be awesome.

Anyway, off to do other stuff now (already been for a run, gone to church & gone shopping today)…

Oh, and:
COME ON ENGLAND!
FOOTBALL’S COMING HOME!

  1. Oh come on, you didn’t really think England were going to win did you?

I spent the match night in a football-free pub with a large group of Pagans, and it was great.

  2. As someone that avoids watching their nation play football, I don’t think you’re really in a position to comment on their likelihood of winning. Yes, until the 91st minute I believbed they could win it. Before the game I didn’t think they could, but then they showed class in the first half and defended well in the second.

So don’t be so negative about them when you don’t know what you’re talking about.

    *sticks tongue out at MaW*

I know too many people that don’t like football… you’re all weird and wrong and stuff.

  3. I don’t watch *anybody* playing football if I can help it, it’s simply an activity I don’t enjoy. It is, however, impossible to avoid hearing the results, and I’ve heard enough of England’s fortunes over the past 22 years to know that they’re not really very likely to make it far in any given tournament. It is upon their past record that I base my conjectures, which is as much as I wish to know about them anyway.

Admittedly, it must’ve been nasty for those who were watching to lose two goals so quickly. Bet the French were happy though.

  4. We won the cricket though! And right here in notts. Best team in the world (apart from the aussies, but we can give them a rum for their money). And football is rubbish – any game that takes less the three days isn’t worth it.

  5. Heh, “not made it far in any given tournament”? The quarter finals of the World Cup 2002 not far enough for you? How about the semi final of Euro 96? Yes, we’ve not won a major tournament in a long time, but we’re nearly always competitive… nearly always. And this time we played the best in the world and deserved at least a draw.

    Anyway, you know nothing 😛

  6. Yeah, the cricket was awesome, would have been so good to be there. Jim went on the Friday when things weren’t looking so good.

I really must go see a one-day match at Trent Bridge sometime.

Oh, and which Jon are you exactly?
