Yes, my mum’s back, and yes she’s mentioned already that she’s disappointed I’ve not updated my diary yet. So I’m taking time out of my busy schedule to write an entry. Yes, I’ve done quite a lot of useful stuff today, including a bit of work for my course – making a wall display thingy for a classroom. Took forever! Although if I do them a lot I’m sure I’ll get used to it…
I also bought some new tyres for my car today, went to an hour long talk on what to say and what not to say to the OfStEd inspectors that are coming next week. Basically say bad stuff to the uni staff and tell the good stuff to the inspectors… fair enough I guess.
Teaching’s going well so far, although I’ve only done an intro and a conclusion of one lesson – the rest has been observation. My mentor is a tad cynical, but very experienced (are the two perchance linked?) and it’s also the first time he’s mentored (is that a word?) so we’re still both finding our feet in that. Should all be OK I think.
Just heard Nathan and Laura are down next Sunday, which should be really nice, but bet they’ll be really busy. I still want them to move back to Nottingham ASAP 🙁
Anyway, enough of that, back to some work I think…
